Marco’s hard work now helps him provide for his wife and three children. When he first heard about PRODUMER Marco was eager to receive training and learn how to improve yields while reducing waste. The PRODUMER sessions have taught Marco how to implement Conservation Agriculture on his farm. Now, the former student is teaching his neighbours the new methods he has learned. Despite severe flooding in the 2007/2008 season, the young farmer was still able to harvest 40% of his sesame crop. The seeds sold for a very good price, and Marco earned his highest profit in three years. The investment that Marco made in the new technologies introduced by PRODUMER are being realized as an improved quality of life for Marco and his family. |
